Presentation of the action :
System Derdba offers you a trip eclectic music towards the discovery of North African heritage with roots sub-Saharan African countries still little known from the great public. System Derdba is a merger bringing together both sub-Saharan sounds and songs mixing Tagnawit with ancestral Tagnawit sounds and Stambeli, all while highlighting the traditional rituals revisited. In Tunis, under a starry sky, in a small courtyard covered with carpets and cushions. reminding us of our Afro-Amazigh heritage, System Derdba takes us on a journey in an ambiance intimate with the 1st "Sta7 Live session"
Objectives of the action :
- To support the musical practice of the Stambeli & Gnaoua repertoire in the Tunisian urban music scene.
- To make the Stambeli & Gnaoua universes known to the Tunisian public as world musical heritage.
Biography of the musicians :
Majd Boukthir: Majd Boukthir is a young versatile Tunisian artist, originally from Gabès, Majd began learning percussion in 2005 at the Gabès conservatory. He obtained the national diploma in Arabic music in 2011, before joining the Higher Institute of Arts & Crafts (ISAM) in Gabès; where he obtained a master's degree in musicology with the congratulations of the Jury after having supported a research thesis on Gnaoua music in Morocco. Passionate about Gnaoua & Stambeli music for more than 15 years, Inspired by his travels and by the song of the maalems, Majd also contributes to other artistic fusion projects (Electro Btaihi, Harja, mouzika_in etc.) and continues to work on it. explore other lands and universes. This is how the System Derdba project was born, a fusion in search of convergences between two musical worlds from North African heritage with sub-Saharan roots.

Aziz Brick ; Aziz Brick, 25 years old, young artist from Sousse and graduate in management. In 2017, Aziz co-founds Harja Band, a fusion band, where Aziz performs as a confirmed drummer, and also manages the programming and follow up as a manager. Passionate about progressive rock and fusion projects, Aziz creates in 2014 his first fusion Rock Rap single as part of the Last chance project with rapper Redstar Radi. After a collaboration within the group Harja that lasted more than a year, Aziz joins Majd and brings a breath of fresh air to System Derdba with its creativity and groove.
