Exhibition of Contemporary Photography

In October 2011, the Kamel Lazaar Foundation held an exhibition of contemporary photography at Centre National d'art Vivant du Belvedere in Tunis. The photographs exhibited belong to the Foundation collection which houses a very large number of works by contemporary North African and Middle Eastern artists. Artists featured in the exhibition included Hela Ammar, Patricia Triki, Amel Bouslama, Hazem Barrabah and Fadoua Degdoug. In bringing this selection of works together, the Kamel Lazaar Foundation set a precedent for the exhibition of contemporary photography in Tunisia and contributed to the vibrant North African art scene, which continues to grow year on year.
