Jaou photo 2022
The Kamel Lazaar Foundation (KLF) and the French Institute of Tunisia (IFT) are organising Jaou Photo, which will open from 6-20 October 2022 in Tunis, alongside an outreach programme to the country's cities outside the capital (Sfax and Sousse).
Jaou returns for its sixth edition after the impact of a global health crisis under the theme ‘the body in all its dimensions’, with a focus on photography, image making and moving images more broadly. With its location in Tunis at the crossroads of the Mediterranean, the Arab World and Africa, Jaou Photo aims to bring together photographers and artists from all walks of life alongside galleries, art critics, intellectuals, and academics in an event of international scope.
A number of invited artists will present their work through this theme, including: Ammar Bouras, Hassan Darsi, Denis Darzacq, Yasmine Hajji, Valérie Jouve, Amina Menia , Lawrence Abu Hamdan,Hajra Waheed, Erick Meyenberg and Zied Ben Romdhane .
