Initiated in 2015 under the name of Maghreb Directory, this dynamic database has quickly evolved to become ArtsMENA, an online platform and database coupled with an interactive application. ArtsMENA is endowed with an interactive map which provides access to fact sheets on artists, cultural spaces and experts of arts and culture in the Maghreb and the Middle-East, and which combines keyword searches with topic filters. ArtsMENA aims to enhance the visibility and the connectivity of the major actors on the MENA cultural scene, at the local, regional and international levels, and to provide access to information about visual arts in the region.
