Cultural Initiatives in North Africa and the Middle East
This work is a sculptural geometric form inspired from overhead photography of different architectural composition and designed buildings and tours of cities from all over the world.
However behind this amazing lights and tours of this big cities hides tons of waste and pollution caused by humans. Since the art of architecture is very concerned about making a difference and conserving the beauty and spreading the beauty of this art. Many of artists adopted the idea of recycling and used old wastes which was a threat for our planet to transform it into pieces of art which influenced the previous artists and changed their perception. Many artists followed the path of recycling and started to create hybrid sculpture which consist mainly to collect used electronic items, also different materials as metals, woods, copper and used children toys to combine them into a geometric structures and transform these useless items to a beautiful work of art inspired by the modern architecture. What caught my eye in this experience is that it started from an idea of a single work, but this project was the lead to a series of new different ideas and conceptions which I started to develop a part of them and planning on developing the rest. This experience is a chance to discover the beauty and the resurrection of the neglected things around us and bring them back to life. My point is to make people realise the importance of recycling and adopt this concept by showing them how to transform neglected objects that we thought were useless to a piece of art, and give them a new meaning and utility. It could be also an inspiration for building and creating work of arts that could be used to decorate public spaces and cities.
